Have yourself a merry little Christmas | Xmas eve 2011 ♥

So,a week before Christmas eve,my friends has been asking me the same question constantly for 378462 times,EVERYDAY.

‘Eh,what’s your plan for Christmas eve?’

And the only answer that i have was,‘I don’t know.’

It was pretty sad cause everyone had their own plans,and i have none.Especially the ones who are attached!!!All the evil couples tried to persuade me to ‘join’ them for Christmas.

SERIOUSLY!!?

I’d rather rot at home and die(which i did rot at home and die during year 2010 after spending dinner at a hawker stall having hokkien noodles with doll) than watching them cooing over each other,spending their own lovey dovey moments (Thanks for rubbing it in bitches!!) while i’ll be reminded that i’m #foreveralone

So i was ranting my problems to Karmun on Skype while she was still at The States,telling her how doomed am i gonna be during Christmas eve and how we both can spend time together during Christmas eve if she’s in KL.

The next thing i know she’s back in KL earlier than i thought and we’re celebrating Christmas eve together!!So we started planning everything like in two days and we didn’t even have a clue what to do !!First we wanted an all girls slumber party in a hotel suite but sadly like i said everyone is attached except the both of us.We booked the suite anyhow,just minus the rest of the girls.It can be loads of fun with just two girls too! *self console*

Then it was dinner.We both agreed that we should at least invite some people for dinner because its kinda gay to have only two girls spending time with each other even for dinner during Christmas eve.And we both as well agreed not to club during Christmas eve so we went bar hopping instead!!

Checked into Intercontinental at noon.The traffic in KL were surprisingly smooth on that day itself.Got upgraded to club suite!Nice!!

It was a chilled night,no one got drunk or wasted.But it doesn’t mean that we didn’t have fun!!Sometimes its so much better to just sit and chill,talk to your friends than spending time in clubs getting wasted for no reason.

Headed back to the hotel with Karmun and called it a night!

Girly talks over hot tub :) Feels so good soaking our feet into the hot water!I wonder how many cells did we killed that night with our high heels.

Happy birthday to me | Break a plate!

Happy New Year dolls!How’s the second day of new year treating everyone so far?!I just had the most scrumptious dinner ever,my mum makes the best pork knuckle!But the combination of durian earlier with pork knuckle i had just now is giving my stomach a hard time :s

Does anyone has any remedy to help me feel better from indigestion!!

Just turned twenty on December of 2011,exactly twenty days ago!After having a small family get together birthday countdown at home,i celebrated my birthday once again with the girls on the night itself at El Cerdo,Changkat.I was actually hoping to dine in Cuisine Gourmet by Nathalie,but the reviews i received wasn’t very convincing.

El Cerdo is still the best place to be!

The appetizers were quite filling!Even the group of eight person couldn’t finish this Spanish ham platter for two to three person.

It includes assortment of Jamón Serrano & Jamón Iberico,salami,cheese,olives,garden salad,melon and nuts!

The portion of the pastas are quite huge,its better to share after having such a filling appetizer.

Spaghetti in mixed seafood and lobster sauce.

cavatelli pasta with pork shoulder ham and cheese.

I ordered a half suckling piglet to share,and to be honest!I felt quite guilty after the meal!No doubt it was really tasty.The skin was perfectly roasted and was well marinated.Nothing beats the crunchy-ness of the skin.

So we were told to choose a representative to go through the ritual of ‘plate breaking’ which is a Spanish tradition.

P/S:Pay attention on Doreen on 1.12 !I swear to god i laughed so hard after playing back the video again and again!

HO HO HO,MERRY GUINNESS!

Greetings dolls!

Christmas is just around the corner!Incase i didn’t get to wish you guys on time,hereby i wish you all a Merry Christmas&Happy New Year!Have a wonderful pleasant Christmas eve!Love you guys!

And i just turned twenty two days ago!Can’t believe time passes so quickly,and i’m no longer in my teens anymore!Wanna thank everyone for the wonderful celebration!It was definitely a memorable one.Bar hopping was fun!And crazy!Also,dinner was awesome!I really wanna start writing a long post about how grateful and blessed i am and etc but i think i should skipped that part cause i realized i’ve been really long winded lately.Anyway,i manage to break some plates at El Cerdo during dinner celebration!Just stay tuned for more updates alright!

Attended a christmas dinner party hosted by Guinness sometime in November,and the one reason why i went was because of ‘ADAM LIAW’ !Winner of Masterchef Australia season 2.When it comes to cooking channels,you have no idea how much time i can spend on watching them.Like the whole day.And of course,Masterchef Australia is one of my favorite shows.Getting to meet Adam Liaw was a great honor,I’m like a little girl fan of his!!So happy to meet him in person!

The dinner was held at Doubletree Hilton,Intermark.More than 150 invited guests including chefs who participated in this Merry Guinness christmas campaign.

Menu of the night.We are lucky enough to stand a chance to actually taste Adam Liaw’s specially crafted Guinness infused christmas recipes!

The celebrity chef himself,doing some presentation and explaining about the dishes that we’re about to taste in the menu.

Farmhouse Terrine with Guinness mustard.

The sweet Guinness mustard contains aromas of malt,clove,nutmeg and pepper which adds on more interesting flavors to the egg and chicken terrine.

Oysters with Guinness cream.

I’m never an oyster fan.But i gave it a try anyhow because of Adam Liaw!But still,i wasn’t really enjoying it.

Roasted chicken with Guinness butter.

Adam’s signature shepherd’s pie.

We had almost ten courses of meal including Christmas feasts prepared by Doubletree itself.So when dessert came,i couldn’t handle it anymore.

Chosen to be a volunteer to try out the cocktail made by some famous international mixologist(quite hot looking) LOL

I was so nervous when i was standing in the middle while 150 pair of eyes which means 150 x 2 = 300 of eyes staring at me!!!And i was pretty tipsy already at that time,i almost tripped when i was walking back to my seat!Plus i know Adam Liaw will be looking at me!!!!

When the MC asked ‘so what do you think of the cocktail?’ I was literally dumbfounded didn’t know what to answer cause i was like so fcking nervous.I just blurted out ‘errrr….delicious’ and look away.OMG STAB ME ALREADY!!!!

But to be honest,it was really delicious!There was this very strong aroma of pistachio nuts added in it.

Its like mint chocolate+Guinness.

Melissa came late!But it was great seeing her again!So much to catch up after so long :)

Me and the celebrity chef himself. *STARSTRUCK* He’s like really cute.Round hair bun,round head,round face,round eyes,round nose,round belly,round body shape.Hehehehehe.

I want to kidnap him home so that he can cook for me!!!!Okay,enough of day dreaming already.

Two days counting down till christmas eve,i can’t wait anymore!This secret getaway will be so much fun!

♥ Kimee turning BIG TWO-ONE ♥

There’s so many upcoming celebrations to celebrate!Especially in December,there will be events happening everyweek.Don’t think i can cope with attending so many parties and events anymore.

First was Doll’s birthday,then its Kimee’s!And guess who’s having her birthday next!

Had dinner and celebrated Kimee’s birthday at Neo Tamarind few weeks back.Was pretty sick of western cuisine already so we decided to go for Thai food!

The ambiance of the place is so serene!Everyone’s just quietly savoring dinner.

I didn’t get to eat much during dinner,was pretty full from late lunch.

But the girls sure did enjoy!

The girls spent the whole night playing games,getting drunk LOL

But some choose to fight against the rules.Somehow its useless,April got pretty drunk at of the night.

Glutton unleashed.

I really need my cravings fixed!It is such a torture to me whenever i look at all the sinful food pictures that i took in Melbourne.

Which makes me miss Melbourne even more cause they have fucking good stuff when it comes too food!Finally i’m doing a review about Cumulus Inc,which i’m sure Michelle has been anticipating to see what i’ve ordered.

Before having dinner at Cumulus Inc,Shalissa brought us to a place for dessert which i cannot recall what’s the name of it.

But anyway,I HAD THE MOST FUCKING ORGASMIC PANCAKES AND STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE EVER.

They serve OMFGOOD pancakes ever!Its definitely not pancake parlor which everyone’s ranting about in Melbourne,i think they’re a little overrated.THIS,THIS IS THE BEST CREATION EVER!

*moans* UGH SO GOOD.I wish i can have one of these now.

BUSTED!Greedy me trying to fit almost half of the pancake into my mouth.

Teeeheeeee.

And the pancakes are almost the size of my face.

Then,its Cumulus Inc along Flinders street later that night.

They don’t take reservations unless you come in a group of 7 to 14,so we had to wait for good half an hour to be seated.I would say we’re pretty lucky because we walked in quite late!

A few friends joined us for dinner!

So each of us ordered a dish and shared among each other.

Not a fan of oysters,i’ll pass!

First i thought it was parma,but Hann said it isn’t parma.So i’m still trying to figure it out what is this.

Smoked corn chowder with scallops.

Wagyu bresaola, beetroot, dill and horseradish cream.

My choice.Foie gras parfait with toasted brioche.

Shalissa decided to go healthy!So this was her choice.Cracked wheat & freekeh salad, preserved lemon, barberries.

Fried soft shell crab, school prawns, chilli & lime

Whole slow roast lamb shoulder to share.

My favorite dish of the night.Love how they keep their seasonings simple.Some rosemary,salt&pepper and you’re good to go!Less is more!In this way you can fully taste the original flavor of the mutton.And it is perfectly roasted.Don’t think i ever tasted such tender and juicy lamb shoulder in my life.

NOT EXAGGERATING.

So each of us paid around 60AUD for dinner which i personally think its reasonable for the selection of food we had,and and for their standards,i am willing to pay for it!Though yes its pretty costly if you were to convert it back to Malaysia’s currency.You probably can dine in one of KL’s finest 5 star restaurant for RM190 per person.

But its all worth it!So if anyone of you happen to be in Melbourne someday,go give Cumulus Inc a try!

Scrumptious meal,awesome selection of wine with good company over dinner.How can i ever complain about life?Life is good.
