We really went all out on the last day,we dressed up so differently that we wouldn’t do in Malaysia. But it was fun!Stranger land is always more of a comfort zone for me.I can even go out with a naked face without worrying that i’ll bump into people i know.HAHAR!

Did a little prayer near Platinum Plaza where the four faced Buddha is located at.It was Buddha’s birthday! And we were brought to somewhere later on to a temple to witness the ceremony.According to the driver,we are both very lucky because the temple only allows public to visit once a month.

Street food in Bangkok is always the best!I would prefer to visit local markets for lunch/dinner then having them in shopping malls. What’s the point of you visiting Thailand but you do not appreciate the chance of trying authentic street food!I’d always tell my friends to be adventurous when it comes to food!Explore your taste buds!We only live once! And what i love about street food is they’re extremely cheap and they always taste good.

On the second night of our stay, doll and i went street food hunting!!We wanted buy some and try as we pass by those tempting food stalls on the first night but we already had dinner,So we made a deal that we will be back on the second night.WITH AN EMPTY STOMACH FOR SURE.

Thai beef and pork skewers.

IMG_0119

Thai ‘zhap fan’(Economic rice) the ghetto style!

None of the dishes were non-spicy.I had swollen crack lips the next morning after dinner.

I will have to give the best street food title to the grilled fish! The Tilapia is rubbed all over with sea salt and it is stuffed with pandan leaves. The skin are not meant to be eaten and i know it looks abit daunting on the outward appearance, but the flesh is surprisingly sweet! Also the aroma of the pandan leave gives such flavorsome taste to the fish. There are not more than three ingredients and it already taste so good.Simplicity is always the best! And its only 50Baht!!! (RM5)

It also comes with a fiery citrusy homemade chili sauce which is extremely orgasmic. It was so spicy that i spent most of my time wiping off my tears and blow my nose than to enjoy my dinner.

MORE AND MORE SHOPPING SPREEE!

IMG_0146

IMG_0143

This was only 1/4 of our journey.Strictly for our own only.It was pretty insane that the customs had to stop us and ask us to pay for tax fee.But we got away easily, nothing is impossible.Teeeheee.

IMG_0149

Headed out for early dinner, had crabs and seafood!

IMG_0150

Heart shaped rice,cute max.

We had grilled crab!A little overpriced though..

Okay, maybe early dinner wasn’t a very good idea.Ordered room service for supper, and finally we drank for our first time after 2 days in Bangkok!Although it was in our room but its good enough. It wasn’t really a vacation trip so we didn’t get to go out to chill at night, also,we’ve been shopping and meeting manufacturers since 9am till late,by the time we got back to our room and finished our dinner its already 11pm..and yeah if you were me,you wouldn’t want to step out of the room anymore. You will just wanna lay on bed and sleep!

More food posts coming right up!Make sure you don’t view my blog with an empty stomach next time!

Till then!xx

In the streets of Bangkok : The hidden gem.

Unless you’re out for #Bersih 2.0,i believe most of you are staying in to avoid the havoc and jam that is happening right now at the city center.Apparently Malaysia isn’t the only country who runs rally protests,it occurred in Bangkok last week as well! There were the red and yellow shirt rally troops all over Bangkok city which causes a massive jam on the way from the airport to the city center.

Come to think of it,i’m glad that we actually missed our morning flight to Bamgkok and we took the afternoon flight instead.Because it would be a lot worse and i wouldn’t even want to think of the consequences that we have to bare with. Its just me and Silly Dolly Molly in this whole trip after all.Two tiny petite girls in the middle of a foreign country, pretty adventurous though.HAHAHA.We even witness a public assassination on the first night itself in the middle of the night market! That Indian dude has a taser and a gun!I swore i saw that dude tasing the other guy and suddenly there were bunch of angry mobs that appeared in the middle of no where, then started fighting and the rest was history cause i was busy saving my my own ass.Didn’t have the guts to stick around to watch free Bollywood drama!

We were practically running for our lifes!I really don’t wanna get shot and just die in the middle of Bangkok for no reason!

Freshen up and head out for dinner!

If you’re wondering why am i wearing a pair of  spa slippers from the hotel its because i broke mine in the plane. And i didn’t bring any extra pair!So i have no choice but to borrow a pair of slippers from the hotel before i get a new pair.HAHAHAHA.Kena cock stare while i was walking in the mall.

Time to hit OU to do some shopping! Will update more bout Bangkok soon!xx

Sabai sabai moments..

Sunday, January 2nd, 2011

Did lots of strolling and shopping on the last day of our excursion in Pattaya,we proceeded our journey back to Bangkok then to Sukhothai,Chiang Mai,Chiang Rai and Mae Salong up to the border line of Myanmar and Thailand before catching our flight back to Malaysia. Its quite a journey isn’t it?

So before the real deal starts back in Bangkok,we spent a day self indulging, starting with a big English breakfast at a French pastry cafe along the beach where its just a 2 kilometers walk from the club house.

Couldn’t bare to wake up so early, hence the puffy eyes.

IMG_6688

I’m so in love with Tipco’s fruit juice! Not forgetting their family mart is also one of my favorite stores.

IMG_6693

Mangosteen! Also in my favorite purple colour :)

IMG_6695

Waited back at the lobby cause purple dino says my packet drink is causing him a bad stomach! So he needs to go poo poo!

Hehehehehehehhee.

IMG_6697

Time for some breakfast! This cafe actually reminds me of Levain back in KL,but only their decor and furnishings are much more humble and homely.Makes you feel like home.

Body massage in Thailand is a must do,price range are mostly from 200Baht(RM20) for normal spa centers to 800baht(RM80) for exclusive spa resorts.Of course the prices will be charged differently according to their time limits too.

page7

Spent some quality time chilling on the cliff watching sailboats while chatting with purple dino&waiting for mummy to meet us up for a shopping spree in town.

RWAR!!!!!!!!!!SHOPPINGGGGGGGGG!

Why is love intensified by absence? – The Time Travelers Wife.

Purple dino left Pattaya at the evening back to Malaysia before me.We actually wished he would complete this trip with us,but unfortunately he has a job in KL and he can’t leave the country for too long. He’s a very responsible man,at least to me and of course his family and his job.Although its a waste that he left before us,but i’m glad he takes responsibility and his job seriously(although i complain sometimes that he’s too busy for me,but deep down inside i’m very proud of him).

I have this habit, whenever i misses his presence,i’ll be reading The Time Travelers Wife, imagining that i’m Clare and Henry its just gone time travelling for a while but he’ll be back in any minute.I know it sounds delusional and stupid but that’s the way to cure my boyfriend sick whenever he is not around.

IMG_6809

Leeza offered me a glass of wine(she knows that i missed him),so i chilled at the shore abit, read some magazines, listened to some love songs that he has stored into my Ipod. Was feeling emotiona when he left, because i know i’ll be alone for the next 10 days without him.And i’m gonna miss him like hell!

IMG_6815

I felt much more better during dinner time, the MUST EAT IN THAILAND was surprisingly DUCK NOODLES AND SWENSENS!

I even had two portion of duck noodles all by myself because it was oh-so-damn-good!The soup i tell you,H-E-A-V-E-N.But basically everything with MSG is actually awesome(I was too hungry and the noodles were too tasty for me to care about health at that moment.)I even finished all the soup with extra chili powder.Wonder how many hair loss i’ll be facing after this. *face palms*

Oh oh!And and and!The coconut ice shake was the best drink on earth i swear!Nothing beats that!NOTHING!I’m missing it right now,i was thinking try imitating it at home but i was too lazy to bother.Maybe someday….

IMG_6817

The reason why the another MUST EAT is SWENSENS its because…..its freaking cheap in Thailand!

IMG_6819

Pretty ladies!
