This is like what...the third post for today??
Okay,i'm gonna make this short.Just wanted to share what i've made for brunch today!!The mum went out to the city of gambling,leaving me and sissy alone at home.So i decided to make scallops and mussels.
Well,that's the only ingredients left in the fridge.I was dying of having other ingredients but sadly we only have seafood left.Very little of them.But its still very tasty at the end even though we're lack of ingredients.
So i made butter garlic scallops!!
With very simple ingredients but its finger licking good.Trust me.
All you need is,scallops and garlic(finely chopped) of course,3 table spoons of butter(or more if you like the sauce to be thicker and richer),2 to 3 tablespoons of lemon juice,1 tablespoon chopped fresh basil,and some freshly ground pepper.The reason why i added capsicum its just to make it look nicer.It doesn't really help much on the taste.
Heat the butter until it begins to turn to brown colour,add garlic and fry them till it turns golden brown,add scallops and sautee the scallops for 5 minutes until it turns golden brown on both sides.Sprinkle on lemon juice and basil,toss them a little,add some pepper and you're ready to serve..Well if you like you could add more butter to make some sauce,the sauces goes well with french bread.
Homemade lemonade,tomato mussel soup and butter scallops.
Tomato mussel soup.This is more complicated than the first dish.
The ingredients are,dry anchovies,olive oil,onions(finely chopped),tomatoes(chopped in cubes),capsicum(chopped in cubes),celery(chopped in cubes),mussels,dry white wine,some salt and black pepper.
Anchovies is for making the soup base,heat up the pan with olive oil,fry the anchovies with salt until fragrant,add water and boil them and your soup base is ready.
On the other hand,heat olive oil with another pot,add onions,tomatoes,celery,capsicum and fry them until fragrant and it turns all soft and moist....add the soup base from the anchovies(just the soup,ditch the anchovies)..boil them for about 10minutes,then add mussels and dry white wine.
Baby likes drinking me soup.Teeheee.
One word to describe : satisfactory.
